Opened in 1971, Wooranna Park is a Government primary school servicing the community of North Dandenong. The 346 pupils attending the school come from racially and culturally diverse backgrounds. This diversity adds richness to the learning environment. Staff and parents are proud of the friendly working atmosphere which pervades the school.
The school’s philosophy is based on the need to maximise children’s options, present and future, so that they might achieve social flexibility, economic well-being and personal satisfaction.

The school offers a comprehensive program of learning through an integrated curriculum in Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Sustainability Education, and Languages (P- 6, Japanese; 5&6, Greek, Korean,Spanish, French, German ). The school has two Bridge Programs operating with partner schools in South Korea and Thailand.
The curriculum is further enriched by a wide variety of special programs and activities which address the needs of our pupils. Extension programs for academically, athletically and artistically talented children are regarded as a priority. The use of information technology is purposeful and strategic, connecting our students with each other and with the rest of the world.
